Statement: I am
John Skinder and I hope to earn your vote for Thurston County Superior Court
Judge. Respect for all parties and the rule of law are of utmost
importance to me. The values I bring to this position are integrity, patience,
fairness, and an excellent work ethic. I believe everyone deserves their
fair day in court.
Over my
nearly twenty year career as a deputy prosecuting attorney, I have fought for
justice for crime victims and accountability for offenders. I have
extensive trial and appellate experience. I have been the lead attorney
of the Special Victims Team and the Domestic Violence Unit; helping children
and families in need is why I became a lawyer. Currently, I am the legal
advisor to our Thurston County Sheriff, Treasurer, Assessor, and Coroner.
I am
rated "Exceptionally Well Qualified" for this position by Washington Women
Lawyers, and am endorsed by a broad cross-section of our community including
many current and former Judges. For a full list of endorsements, please
